Koat Keat, a 6-foot-9 guard/forward from Renaissance Academy in Altadena and the reigning CIF Division 4-AA player of the year, has enrolled at Crean Lutheran High, Saints boys basketball coach Nate Klitzing said on Friday, Sept. 18.

The junior from the Dream Vision club holds scholarship offers from UCLA, USC and Loyola Marymount and is ranked 92nd nationally in his class by 247Sports.

“We’re extremely excited about him,” Klitzing said. “He’s just one of those program-changers. … (and) we were already excited with the team coming back.”

Crean Lutheran returns starters 6-foot-11 junior James Agany, sophomore point guard Kenneth Bailey and 6-foot-4 forward Michael Birket along with promising sophomore Ben Abate and junior Parker Tuttle.

The Saints are tentatively scheduled to play Santa Margarita in the Nike Extravaganza, Klitzing said.
